Lanserhof Sylt

The group's first seaside property, opened in 2022 between the dunes and the Wadden Sea at List, on the North Sea island of Sylt. Ingenhoven again, this time beneath Europe's largest thatched roof — 7,100 square metres — built throughout from ecological, health-tested materials.

It is the newest of the three and the only one at sea level, which suits guests who do not tolerate altitude well. It holds the group's only Neuro Sleep programme, built around sleep diagnostics, and offers cardiovascular and dermatological assessment not emphasised at the Alpine properties.

Pricing sits between Lans and Tegernsee.

The caution is climate. Sylt is exposed North Sea coast: cold, grey and windy for much of the year. Guests hoping to recover in sunshine should look to the Mediterranean clinics, and the island takes real effort to reach.

The medical method is identical to Lans and Tegernsee. What differs is the setting and the sleep programme — which is the honest basis on which to choose it.
