SHA Mexico

SHA's first destination outside Spain, opened on 26 January 2024 at Costa Mujeres on the Yucatán Peninsula, north of Cancún — four years in construction, with further openings planned.

The scale is considerably greater than the Alicante original. Seven hectares of beachfront, 101 suites and 37 residences, and a clinic area exceeding 10,000 square metres with more than a hundred treatment and consultation rooms — enough capacity for several disciplines to work on one guest in parallel rather than in sequence.

What is offered here matches the Spanish flagship exactly. The same four programmes run as in Spain — Rebalance & Reenergize, Detox & Optimal Weight, Well-Ageing & Prevention, Leader's Performance — across four to twenty-one days, built on SHA's nine disciplines and its macrobiotic, plant- and seafood-based nutrition.

What differs is the surrounding temptation. Alicante sits on a hillside with little to do but the programme. Here there is a cenote, a private beach on the northern hemisphere's largest reef, golf, sailing, a cinema, a helipad and a dock. That makes it far easier to arrive with intentions and leave having had a very good Caribbean holiday.

For guests in the Americas the calculation is straightforward: the same method, a newer building, and a flight measured in hours rather than a transatlantic crossing.
