Park Igls Medical Spa Resort

Park Igls Medical Spa Resort stands in its own park in Igls, a village at the foot of the Patscherkofel, about 870 metres above sea level and a few minutes by car from Innsbruck. It has 52 rooms and suites in twelve categories, from 20 m² single rooms to 64 m² suites. All rooms have air conditioning and a balcony.

The spa has a heated indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, an organic sauna, a steam room, an infrared cabin and cold-water Kneipp pools. There is also a panoramic gym, a chipping and putting green and a cosmetic studio.

The clinic practises Modern Mayr Medicine, which builds on Franz Xaver Mayr's focus on the digestive system and adds modern diagnostics. Medical Director Dr Peter R. Gartner leads a team of Mayr doctors and two psychologists, supported by consultant specialists in Innsbruck. Each programme starts with an examination by a personal doctor and includes manual abdominal treatment, an individual Mayr cuisine plan, daily Kneipp treatments, group exercise and lectures. Diagnostics include blood analysis, intolerance and hormone tests, ultrasound, and cardiovascular and sleep diagnostics. Programmes run from the four-night Detox Short Break to one-week programmes, extendable by the week, such as Detox Classic, De-Stress and Sleep Fit.

Park Igls suits guests who want a medically supervised Mayr detox or a structured health programme with access to specialists. Guests must be 16 or over. Rooms can be booked without a programme, with a daily charge for basic services. Sunday arrival is recommended, as the medical department is closed from Saturday noon until Monday morning.
