Equinox Hotel New York occupies 33 Hudson Yards on Manhattan's West Side and shares the building with an Equinox fitness club; hotel guests become club members for the length of their stay. The club has strength and cardio floors, group classes from HIIT to yoga, barre and Pilates, personal training, a 25-yard indoor saltwater lap pool and an outdoor terrace pool, heated in colder months, beside two barrel saunas set at different temperatures.

The Spa by Equinox Hotels is open to the public as well as to hotel guests. Treatments are grouped into beauty, performance healing (massage, acupuncture, craniosacral and lymphatic work), temperature therapy (cryotherapy, infrared sauna and the MLX i3Dome), inner-body care including IV drips, and sleep and brain health. Guests can book single treatments or multi-hour packages built around goals such as sleep, anti-inflammation or detox.

Sleep is part of the room product. A Sleep Lab stay, developed with neuroscientist Dr Matthew Walker as scientific advisor, adds an Eight Sleep adaptive mattress, a contrast-therapy shower, overnight sleep tracking and a sleep kit. Guided morning and evening rituals cover movement, breathwork and light management, and a Sleep Well Menu is served in the evening.

It suits travellers who want to keep up a training and recovery routine during a New York stay. The 7 train stops a minute's walk from the hotel, and pets up to 25 pounds are accepted for a fee.
