Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort

A clifftop resort on Sri Lanka's southern coast, set within a former coconut plantation above the Indian Ocean. The wellness offering is structured rather than incidental: four named five-day Ayurveda programmes — Inner Harmony, Deep Sleep, Natural Weight and Rebuilding Detox — are overseen by resident Ayurvedic doctors, and every individual treatment follows a consultation with a qualified Ayurvedic medical officer first. A dedicated pavilion hosts yoga and meditation, and the resort runs a Slumber Guru for sleep and a Nature Guru leading walks through the estate. Rooms are bookable without a programme, so the wellness can be taken in full or left alone entirely — which also means this is a resort with a serious Ayurveda arm rather than a retreat proper.
